ABOUT EISENBERG JEWELRY
The Eisenberg Company was founded in 1914 by Jonas Eisenberg. The company originally produced high end clothing that was adorned with pieces of costume jewelry. What began to happen was that the pieces of jewelry were disappearing off of the pieces of clothing! As the company realized the popularity of the jewelry pieces they began production and marketing of their own jewelry line around 1930. In 1958, the company abandoned production of clothing to focus completely on the production of jewelry. The jewelry has changed and evolved over the years and each era of production is marked by distinctive uses of signatures on the jewelry. I have begun posting the oldest pieces in our collection, the pieces marked "Eisenberg Original". This covers the era from 1935-1945. Pieces in existance earlier than this were not marked. Also, during the years of 1941-1945 the company was restricted from using certain kinds of metals because of the war, so during this time frame you will find the Eisenberg Originals made from sterling silver. Another mark used during the early years was the simple "Script E."
I grew up in my early years in the Seattle area. Our family then moved to the Yakima Valley, where my parents bought a cherry orchard and grape vineyard. I spent many years in the Yakima Valley, where life was always full of adventures and experiences I would never have had if I had continued to grow up in the city. In my early twenties I moved back to the Seattle area, where I still reside. I graduated college in 1999 with my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, in Art. After graduating, I taught art at a local college for several years. I am married to a wonderful husband who supports me above and beyond in all that I do. I have one daughter, Autumn, a son-in-law Kevin, and one Grandson, Christian. My husband and I love to travel, where I enjoy photographing anything and everything! I recently completed Chaplaincy training and am looking forward to receiving my ordination in the next few weeks. My plan is to work with our local Police and Fire Department. I love floral design, I have been a floral designer for 20 years!
So beautiful!
